All Lost

I traveled far – some went, I came

to wish in wells

to disturb the tame

old poet’s hands fed

seeds, my brain

my body, lead

empty nets

sought pets, somber

 – miles away

her breath birthed smiles

easy prey

as records played, folk

through incense smoke

velvet fingers

kissed by lips, lingered.

I said I wasn’t

but I wandered

– lost

until frost settled

and she shepherd across

lead and foddered

me, still I wondered

Where I was.
